We begin the tour of Madeira Island with an exciting adventure down the traditional Tobogã do Monte. This is one of the icons of Madeira, where you will be driven on a sled through winding streets.   • You may have to wait a while in line to get off the Toboggan, especially if it's a day when there's a cruise ship passing through Funchal. To get to the Eira do Serrado viewpoint you will need to take a 10-minute walk and climb some steps.
