Description

We will pick you up at one of our Meeting Points, either in Funchal city center, Lido or Caniço. Let's go creating Heartbeat Moments! Miradouro Fajã dos Padres: Coffee Time On the way from Funchal to the Miradouro Fajã dos Padres, we will make a short stop for a get together to explain the day's plan over a strong Bica or Garoto. Once at the Miradouro, a fantastic view of the farms and terraces deep down the coast awaits us. Madeira's authentic agriculture. Espigão: the 'end of the world' We continue to Espigão, the 'end of the world'. The breathtaking panoramic view of the imposing valley shows Madeira's untamed nature.  Simply beautiful! Madeira's Sagrada Familia Our tour continues to a place you wouldn't expect to find here: the Sagrada Familia. It is Madeira's version of the iconic masterpiece in Barcelona. Mr. Macedo built and designed the small chapel for his neighbors over 15 years. A curious but fascinating place, this little chapel stands quite unexpectedly in the middle of the green mountains. Serra de Água: beautiful valley The road continues to Serra de Água. This small village is located in a wide, deep valley surrounded by high mountains. No crowds have arrived here yet and the nature around the place is just beautiful. Encumeada: postcard landscape (Smartphone)Camera ready? The viewpoint Encumeada is located at an altitude of 1007 meters and offers a fascinating panoramic view of the north and south coast of Madeira.   São Vicente: highlight in the north Our next stop is São Vicente, our favourite place in the north. Here we go up a few steps to the famous church tower. A great photo motif and an even greater view from up there, because from here you have a unique perspective on the rugged charm of the island. Ponta Delgada: hidden beauty Ponta Delgada is a hidden village that is often overlooked. Wrongly so! It is beautifully situated between lush greenery and blue sea. Let yourself be enchanted by its charm! Local Poncha in Boaventura To finish the day, we stop in Boaventura. It is one of the oldest colonized villages and is practically isolated from the rest of the island. Due to its isolated location, Boaventura has preserved much of its original charm, e.g. many of the old mansions, some of which are listed as historic monuments. We explore the place and show you the best spots. And: we wouldn't be Heartbeat Madeira if we didn't toast the day with an authentic Poncha. Cheers to us and cheers to this beautiful island! Back to Funchal: cheers to new memories Our adventure may be coming to an end, but the fun doesn't have to stop for you. Back in Funchal, we'd like to recommend our favorite poncha bars where you can toast the day with your new friends.

Important Information

  • Please be aware that the weather in Madeira is unpredictable, it has a sub tropical climate and can change unexpectedly during the day. That means sometimes paths or places are closed by the local authorities or it might be too dangerous to do the originally planned trip. In these cases we are doing our best to inform you in time and offer you alternatives, but sometimes we need to be flexible on the tour day itself. What will never be missed is good mood and the beauty of the island - no matter what weather, we are sure you will enjoy this paradise!
