Description

Departure from your hotel and visit the local 'Sacred Heart of Christ' statue built in 1927 that overlooks the Funchal harbour and Garajau protected area with breathtaking views. The tour continues to Santa Cruz to visit the small market by the sea front, where you can find little fruit stands along with the small fresh fish market. Finally arrive to Santo da Serra parish where you can visit the local vegetable, fruit flower market side by side with the only flee market of the Island. Still in the Market you can find some gastronomy specialties like the soup 'sopa de trigo' and the 'bolo do caco', which we strongly advise you to try.
